Band FAQs

Can I hear the band before I book them?
Yes, please watch the live video or listen to the live audio samples. Or please contact us to request a live demo CD which we will send out along with our Promo Pack.
Can I see the band live before I book them?

Obviously we recognise that your event is special and you will want to be as certain as possible that Aurora is the right choice for you. If the live video is not enough, Aurora play some live public gigs in addition to private function work. Please contact the band for the best available date and location for you. Remember that the set list for a public performance may vary considerably from what the band would play at a wedding or private function.

Failing that, we may be able to obtain an access invite for you to a private function - if given enough notice.

My fiancée and I have a 'special song' that is not on your set list - can you play it for us?
If it's possible for a five piece band to do your song in a "live" context. The band are more than happy to learn a special song for the clients wedding or private party and simply  ask that they be given at least 6 weeks notice of the song to ensure all arrangements are complete and the number is properly rehearsed.

Equally sometimes a client or family member would like to sing their special song with the band. This is also possible and we are always happy to accommodate this request as this always makes an evening very personal – all we require is a similar notice period,  so we can identify their specific  requirement, such as the key and  arrangement they are used to  and make provision in the line up  for an  extra microphone etc.

How many songs in Aurora’s play list and what styles of music do they play?

The Current Set List is over 125 songs and Aurora adds to and refreshes their set lists all the time.

The band line up lets them cover a wide range of styles including; Strict Tempo Dance Sets, ,Instrumental sets, Jazz, Pop, Rock and Roll , Blues, Soul and Rock and so has the flexibility and range of material to meet all potential needs over the course of your special event.

Aurora are a band that likes to get people on to, the dance floor and keep them there and normally performs 2 x 1hr sets, - including a range of music for all ages. They are happy to split that in to or 3 x 40 minute spots over the evening if preferred and liaise with you to fit in with your plans for the event.

See the Set lists from each decade for Aurora’s current repertoire. If there is a specific song on the set lists you would like us to play, please mention this to us in advance and we will be glad to accommodate the request and fix a particular point in the proceedings to play it for you.

How loud do you play?
The band can play as loudly or quietly as you like! Aurora have played at many functions of differing size, and can tailor the volume to the size of the room and number of people.
